Name | Version: Live Browser - Free Handy Web Browser 1.3
Author: Metamagicum
Device Type: Audio Effect
Description: Live Browser is a simple web browser that offers all basic functions of a normal web browser. Since Live Version 12 the browser object allows audio output (finally!). So you can route audio from any web site directly into Live. If you are using Live 11 or earlier, see below for more information.

The included bookmark collection contains some interesting and weird stuff to experiment with:

- "Hugging Face" offers AI image and audio generation (I am not a huge AI fan but this stuff is really disturbing): Try "SDXL Turbo" to generate AI images while typing prompts, use "MusicGen" to generate or resample music...

- "Google Arts & Culture" offers audio and visual stuff, I recommend to start with "Blob Opera"...

- Noiiz / Splice offer huge sample collections where you can search for specific sounds and record them directly into your Live Set without having to buy the whole sample pack...

- Three.js / Shadertoy offers interesting OpenGL environments: You can play your music while manipulating 3D objects and record with OBS Studio to save your performance as music video...

- Ableton's "One Thing" offers a great collection of creative tips on how to make music...

If you are bored with making music try "The Useless Web" or "QWOP"...

MAIN FEATURES:

- A really handsome web browser with some inspiring and amusing bookmarks

- Bonus: If you change the color of the browser panel you have to click "OK" to save!

- Click on the icon in the upper left corner to undock the browser and ESC to toggle full screen

- Use Cmd + left / right arrow keys to navigate back and forward

- Pro Tip: You can also use multiple browsers on different tracks, with a touch screen as input method...

NOTE: If you want to use your regular web browser (Firefox, Chrome etc.) or general want to route system audio into Live, which isn't possible by default (what a shame!) - you need a virtual audio cable.

You can use this: https://www.vb-audio.com/Cable/

Happy browsing!

Good idea, unfortunately it does not work on Mac
Should work on Mac if you are using live version 12!

Otherwise it’s an Ableton Live bug which refers to the new Max for Live object "jbrowser~".
You can report your issue here: https://help.ableton.com/hc/en-us/requests/new
If you are using Live 11 or earlier install VB-Audio CABLE to route system audio into Live and use your regular web browser. If you need any help, please contact me directly: metamagicum@gmx.de
